Pack Introductions & Evaluations
At Healthy Hound, your dog’s Group Play introduction/evaluation will be on their first day of daycare, and other than the regular daycare cost, there is no extra charge for the intro service.
After you drop off your pup for their first day, we will introduce them into the playroom as soon as we are able. We stagger times for introductions so that we may give each dog the attention they deserve, to provide them the best chance of being successful at our facility.
A trained staff member will gradually integrate your dog with the appropriate pack. There is not a standard duration for an introduction – some dogs take only a few minutes, while others can take longer. After the introduction has occurred, and your pup has been given some time to adjust, you will receive a call from the supervisor to advise you on how things went. To ensure the playroom stays as calm as possible, we do not allow parents to view the integration process.

We would like to introduce you to one of our Blue Pearl vets (and friends), Dr Chivvis. Dr. Gal Chivvis is an experienced emergency veterinarian with over a decade of hands-on clinical practice. Driven by a passion for education and accessibility, she founded Critter Care Collective, a platform dedicated to making pet health information clear, practical, and engaging for pet owners everywhere. Through her website, www.crittercarecollective.com, Dr. Chivvis and her collaborators offer a wide range of resources covering pet diseases, medications, toxicities, behavior, and more. Her content is designed to empower pet owners with the knowledge they need to confidently care for their animals. As a published author, Dr. Chivvis has written multiple books, including The Dog Owner’s Guide to Health Emergencies, a hands-on activity book for kids aged 5-7, and a collection of fun and educational coloring books for children, teens and adults. She’s also currently working on a picture book series for young children.
